After Google close its deal with Motorola, Facebook is trying to come up with its own smartphone next year, according to New York Times. “Employers of Facebook and several engineers who have been sought out by recruiters there, as well as people briefed on Facebook’s plans say the company hopes to release its own smartphone by next year.” reports The New York Times.
Facebook has also hired more than half a dozen former Apple software and hardware engineers for the same. These employers worked on the iPhone and iPad. Its is to be noted that, this is the third attempt to make a smartphone by Facebook. In 2010, it is said that Facebook worked on smartphone and the project was dropped after they realized to difficulties involved in it. Last year, the blog AllthingsD reported last year that Facebook had joined with HTC to create a smartphone named “Buffy”.
A former Apple employee, who met Mark said, they had a conversation about the inner working of a smartphone and about the types of chips included in smartphones.
A Facebook employee told that “Mark is worried that if he doesn’t create a mobile phone in the neat future, Facebook will simply remain an app on other mobile platforms” reported by The New York Times.

That’s cool! Is that pic an imagination or was it released officially from Facebook?
